Andrew "Way Back" Bailey strikes again. He reminds me of John Wasdin on the late 1990s. Unreal. The only thing making me feel a little better is that Josh Reddick is not having the year he had last year and is hurt.

A straight fastball over the middle of the plate?  He just has no clue where his pitches will end up ...he is a complete chucker not a pitcher.... I still blame Farrell though

Feels like watching re-runs of the same game.  Sox hang on to one run lead.  Bailey brought in to pitch and promptly surrenders a bomb.  When Is Farrrell going to get it???????

What amazes me is that this team got stupid in letting Papelbon go and they have completely underestimated the closer position, looking to pick up cheap alternatives in Melancon, Aceves, Bailey, and, Hanrahan. None of them gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling in the 9th inning.

Bailey doesn't have the club's permission to refuse to come into a game. He hasn't cost the Sox any games, unless you believe he's intentionally throwing the game,  his manager is to blame. When everyone knows that Bailey can't be used in a close game and the manager continues to bring him into one run games, it's not the fault of the pitcher, it's all on the pitiful judgement of the manager. It's beginning to look like Gagne all over again.
If the Sox win this one it will be "IN SPITE OF FARRELL" and if the lose it, it will be because of Farrell.

Remember when opposing teams waited for the Francona Factor to kick in? Well opposing managers are beginning to count on the Farrell Factor as an effective winning strategy for them.
