Just do what I do burrito. Make it happier with a little irreverent humor.

Based on your professional observations - sure go ahead and fire him and then we can wait another two months while the Sox hire another GM before doing anything.

Realistically...the Sox have about 20 mil to spend and still stay under the cap.  Anyone that thinks they will be big players in the FA market need to get a grip.  The Sox over spent last year and are paying for it this year.  If the Sox re-sign Papi, they will have about 5 mil to spend on all the rest of the needs the Sox have.  This is all out of the mouth of Peter Gammons on MLB Hot Stove tonight.

[QUOTE]I know it is, but I just think he seems very wishy-washy and overly analytical - the kind of guy, for instance, who stands at the produce counter in the supermarket for ten minutes deciding between iceberg and romaine lettuce. Ask him about the roles of guys like Bard and Aceves and you always seem to hear the same thing: "we don't need to make that decision now."

Yes, it is way too soon.

I think both he and Valentine should be fired.  And then hire a pitching coach so we can fire him also, unless the pitching coach is willing to sign a contract that has him hired and fired in the same day.
