    Jonny Gomes vs Cody Ross

Gomes has more HR and RBI right now then Cody Ross. He have been the better signing.

Re: Jonny Gomes vs Cody Ross

Ross vs Gomes would be a pretty good Pay-Per-View event...

Gomes also took like $14mill less.

Re: Jonny Gomes vs Cody Ross

When we signed Gomes, I said the Nava/Gomes platoon in LF might produce one of our best OBPs by position on the team.

Things have not worked out as planned: Nava has had to play RF, and JBJ kinda killed our LF OBP numbers singlehandedly, but I still think by year's end, the Nava/Gomes combo will prove to have been a great OB machine.

Gomes is up to .333 now after a terrible start. Nava's at .374.

If we look at the splits:

    Nava vs RHPs: .402

    Gomes v LHPs: .346
