Lucchino : "Red Sox Sellout Streak will probably end in April"

Really? With all of the tickets still available for the 2nd game of the season on April 10th (Wednesday Night), if they announce a sellout that night, it will be quite hilarious.

Most posters here didn't really make a big issue out of this anyway, only a select few were obsessed about it and they were fans of rival teams. Much ado about nothing.

Perhaps this is partly true, but that's because the FO made such a big deal about this charade, and also that the Boston media didn't fall for it. By announcing this, the pressure's off to continue it.

    I hear you're a NYY fan, LOL.

    Re: Lucchino :

What it means is that the outlets have purchased less tickets to sell.

Thus the RS have more on hand to sell at their windows instead of none.

Which actually will make tickets cheaper for fans since they will not have to pay the charge the outlets attach to the tickets. Thus a sell out is actually very possible and not hilarious at all.

LOL... the "sell out" streak has been over for quite some time.

Ownership continues to try and keep this charade alive so they can continue to sell the "sell out" streak merchandise.

Kudos to them for keeping this fallacy alive for this long.

Beer & chicken, fake sellouts, scapegoating Francona, having rabbit ears with respect to players griping about BV, distractions with Liverpool soccer, and so on. This FO isn't what it used to be.

Looks like ADG and the other two NYY fans are the most concerned about it.  Red Sox fans, particularly pre-2004 fans, couldn't care less.  Now that ADG and his ilk have left the building, it's more tickets for the real fans.

How can there be an end to the sell out streak when there are so many Yankee fans obsessed with the Sox enough to spend their whole lives on their message boards. LOL

Yet another riviting post. All day and all night. Unreal. No wonder you have over 400 posts in a month. This is really the only thing you could possibly be doing 24/7. That's frightening.

400 posts in a month. LOL I think that's a new record. I remember when Babe used to have hundreds of posts in a couple of weeks after all his bannings. The pace is unbelievable. Reading all threads all day and all night and inserting your insults must be exhausting. Get some sleep already.

Maybe when you call Pike to get up for the day crazy shift, you can ask him how many he got with his new screen name yesterday.

I think the crazy shift has been covered by a Yankee troll who turned it into a 24 hour shift. Your whole life.

    What merch would that be?

I don't remember seeing "sell out streak" shirts.

If it was to sell merchandise, it failed.
