Another reason to trade for Morse is that it takes him away from the Yankees.

And the Yankees may turn their attention to a short-term contract for Mike Napoli.

UPDATE: It's not definite that it will, but the sides are at serious risk of the deal falling through, according to the website. CLNS Radio is a very underrated source for news.

No. That would be Current TV, which was just bought by Al-Jazeera.

It looks there is not much to this Cherington said they are still talking. Jen Royle also said the Red Sox where willing to go to 4 years on Napoli but the Mariners would go 5.

Do the Yankees have a dire need for a fourth catcher and a backup for Tex?

The New York Yankees (and other American League teams) use a designated hitter.

The current Yankee depth chart lists Russ Canzler at DH:

So? How does that pertain to knowledge of the Mike Napoli situtation? I strongly dislike the Yankees but you have an odd obsession about them and their fans.

Despite being another blow to an already mediocre team and the fact we have few options at 1B, I'm glad we actually stuck to our guns didn't overpay for another guy with health issues.

Ben needs to work on finding a long term 1B option ASAP and although I don't have the answer, neither is a guy like Morse.

It is about credibility. Do we trust Jen or Gammons? Tomorrow this thread might be garbage.

    [/QUOTE]

Does Peter have a relationship with Napoli? Peter Gammons is retired and worked for ESPN for twenty years before that, it is not like he covered the Sox. Unless you implying if you covered the Yankees ever you can't ever cover the Sox.
