Good news, as no way the Red Sox should pay for Napoli as opposed to getting the draft pick and replacing Napoli with a better value and fit option in Kendrys Morales or a solid .900 plus OPS v. LP bridge one year cheap single digits replacement in Konerko with a platooning patch like Nava v. RP.
Management would be foolish to resign Napoli in his 2014 market. 2013 worked out great, don't do something stupid like double and triple down on Napoli stock. Sell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take the draft pick!!!!!!!!!!
Dude, the meth fumes from next door are getting to you again.
Morales is a better fit and value?
1-Value-Since you have no idea what their salaries will be, you have no idea of what their values will be. If they both get $28M/2, Napoli is twice the value that Morales is.
2-Fit-Morales is a DH. We already have a DH.
3-Draft pick-Morales has a QO attached to him. It's not a big difference, but if we did what you suggest, we lose our #30 and pick up a supplemental pick. It is not a material difference, but your suggestion does not help our draft, it hurts it.
Seriously, one of you worst posts ever.
