I think Iglesias would have been a better choice to pinch run.

    Stabbed by Foulke.

No, you are supposed to go halfway on that play its a joke that nava didn't score on a ball that hit the right field wall

Wrong. You play that half way. Like Remy said during the broadcast. Dumb baserunning; dumb managing because Iggy should have been out there instead.

it wasnt good base running. it had nothing to do with Farrell PG, because if Nava played it right he would have scored. Either way, the Ump was completely out of position and totally kicked the pooch on that one. At the least it shouldve have been tied.

How can the ump be on the wrong side of the plate on that play.

As for not scoring that ball should have been caught. BTW if it was caught some here would be complaining about why didn't he tag up.

You play that halfway. Period. End of discussion. Just like Remy, who has played the game professionally, said during the broadcast. It was a baserunning blunder.

In hindsight yes Nava blew that....but what were the odds that on the next play the ump blows a call?  Play would have been forgotten if the ump made the right call.

Blame Nava for awful running, blame Farrell for not using  Iglesias instead of Nava, blame Farrell for not using Carp in 8th inning... The ump ugly call is just a by-product of Farrell shabby strategy... forgive me  Tito, I thought you were a bad strategist...

I wasn't questioning why he should have played it half way. I said if he did and the ball was caught there would be some here questioning why he did not tag up.

Farrell said just that, on the post game paw, in no uncertain terms. He may have talked himself out of some money.

Nava instead of Iglesias was a bad choice to pinch-run.  Nava is slower and has also made some mistakes on the basepaths already this year.

    Re: Nava base running

Nava played it perfectly to ensure nothing good would happen.  He didn't tag up, so no way could he advance on a caught fly.  Much worse, he was running toward second when the ball got thru.  Iglesias would have played it better and scored or scored from third on the fly.  Farrell outsmarted himself by saving Iglesias to go in as a defensive sub.  Nava, FWIW, consistently makes bad decisions on the base paths.

The good news is the Sox got two doubles in the 8th by two much maligned players, Lavarnway and Drew.

Nava may be the dumbest baserunner I've seen this year, consistently wrong when judgment is required.
