we would be getting a power hitter for about 15-16 million a year that would be be a steel

checkout his numbers from 2011 MvP he would pepper that wall all day long he would be money than move him to DH when big papp is gone

Then when that happens the sox will be over the 189mil cap limit. Do you really think the sox are going too over spend?

I believe Sox are determined not to trade for Kemp and Dodgers GM Ned and Kemp's agent said Kemp won't be moved.  Even if he does, I see Kemp going to the Mariners.

whoever is wanting the Sox to pay for Kemp is clueless to the extent of his injuries. 6 years at 15-16M is way too risky. Bad ankles and bad shoulder until hes 36+yo? no thanks.

    heres another blurb...

A source tells Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe that there were simply too many "complications" for the Red Sox to make a deal work (Twitter link). Kemp's recovery from ankle surgery was the most notable of those complications...

Yes it would be a steal if he performed as the player he was in his 20's but giving his injuries....and the track record of athletes with those types of re-ocuring injuries he is bound to see some combination of reduced production and frequent trips to the D.L.

You will not get the 2011 Matt Kemp, because he is older, getting older, and more importantly his body is older and those injuries only add years.

Which is exactly why you will never see Kemp here in a Sox uniform.

this is the start of it another OF in the mix to free of Kemp

Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune hears that the Royals are talking to the Dodgers about a Justin Maxwell-for-Dee Gordon swap.

The Royals are in the market for a second baseman, so Gordon could make some sense at the position if they feel that Omar Infante will be too expensive in free agency. While the Dodgers already have plenty of outfielders, Maxwell is a capable bat against southpaws.

Oh it is going to happen?

Despite the fact that it is a horrible idea, and the Sox have expressed they do not have interest in him.....but it will happen because of why?

What sources, or information do we have to lead us to the conclusion that the Boston Red Sox will trade for Matt Kemp???
