Workman turns 25 in August and has pitched well.

de la Rosa is 24 and doing well.

    Ranaudo is pushing upwards.

They all look like they might be close to "ready".

Might have to be. It looks as if we have , hopefully temporarily, three sspots open / about to be open on the staff, one bullpen and TWO rotation.

This assuming we have to D.L. both Morales and Lester. With Webster convincingly demonstrating his not being ready for prime time-ness, Aceves looms large in future plans.

With Steven Wright occupying ( wasting ?) precious roster space, Alex Wilson, RDLR, or even a new addition might be called upon to spot start.  So, Hmmm, Workman or Ranaudo ?

Aceves was in the pen at AAA for a one inning outing and Beato was back at AAA and got the save for the PawSox---I would say both will be activated today.

Middlebrooks should be sent down after todays game and Holt activated. Start WMB on the way back playing beside XMan for the rest of the season.
