    WTF?!?  Damn.....

The Red Sox and Yankees should work out a trade involving Salty.  LOL

    Ben: "Hey Brian."

    Brian: "Hey Ben."

Ben: "Is that British lady still stalking you?"

Brian: "Watch it a**hole."   "At least my team has a very good first baseman."

Ben: "But you guys need a catcher."  "Salty for David Robertson straight up."

Brian: "................I think this meeting is now over."

    LOL

    Hello pinstripezac   :)

I wonder what your Yankees plan on doing with the catching situation.

I doubt Posada is coming back.   ;)

I think it will be Pierzynski for perhaps 3 years and God knows how much...Then again, I am the one who has been predicting a Josh Hamilton signing by the New York Foxes, so I would say my clairvoyant credibility is not very high, and delightfully impaired by a lot of Christmas Hot Stove wish list thinking...

    LOL nut...............well not really :-(

remember a few yrs back when

Hingham Hammer & I would bust TWM

by calling him ''coupon hal'' ?

nyyfans can't beef if they stick to the budget

it's a heck of a lot of savings involved

    [/QUOTE]LOL Zac.

We all saw this day coming. Well all but TWM.

As for Mauer his future is at 1st. base.

How long before TWM bangs the Montero drum?

Just the other day, Vic was hoping that Seattle would sign Napoli, I presume as a zinger to TWM.  Now it seems like the situation has turned around.  If Montero thrives in Seattle, and the NYY start Cervelli, and unless Pineda has a good start, TWM will be on this like ugly on a gorilla, like white on rice.

And it's not like I won't start off every morning by asking him how Montero is doing:)

Funny that he leaves NYY just yesterday on Hot Stove they were saying the NYY should resign all their FA as they want to stay in NY. Martin was the guy they talked about the most. It was all about his legacy. Gee I guess we all learned something legacy means squat when an extra million can be had and the experts know far less than what they think they do.

Vic was probably hoping to keep Napoli away from Boston. I still don't get the attraction to Napoli. Montero is still a long way from being even a decent defense catcher. Some say he will never get there. His future is as a DH and maybe a part time 1st. baseman. Yankees have some catcher depth in their system. They will be fine. IMO Salty is better than both Napoli and Martin.

Because the Yanks won't have the money to sign Ellsbury long term.

Salty would hit 30+ homeruns playing half the schedule in YS.

The late Steinbrenner would have done the following,

    1. Resign Martin
    2. Tell A-Rod that the next time he throws a baseball to a female fan, he will get a beating like never before.
    3. Tell Soriano to go bleep himself.
    4. Send the finest medical staff to make sure Jeter is ready by Spring Training.
    5. Ask Cano is he needed glasses during the ALCS.
    6. Tell Andrew Jones to take a hike.  LOL
