Good observation.  The Jays are making some good moves too.  Rasmus and Brett Lawrie will add some offence there.

    How about this...

The Rays would be in 1st place in the AL Central by 1.5.
The Rays would be 1 GB Az (ties in loss column).
The Rays would be just 4.5 behind Texas.
The Rays would be 5 behind Milwaukee

See your point though. The Central Div. is weak. If the Jays were in the Central, they'd be 2 games from 1st.

Pity we can't get Farrell back...just on a two month loan-out.
We are the oldest team in the A. L. - yet we got Young. Go figure...

Doesn't work that way, due to the unbalanced sched; in all likelihood, they'd be better.

We are fortunate that the Red Sox play in the AL East.  Since we almost always have the best record in the East, the 2nd place team is almost always the Wild Card.  Not sure, but if you look at the wild card winners since its existence, I would imagine that most of these teams were from the AL East.

True, but TB has not played NY and Bos that much yet, they still face them many more times later in the season.

They could actually be in 1st place in any division other than the AL and NL East.

If the Rays were in AAA, they would make the playoffs. If Obama spent less money, the deficit and debt would be lower.

Better hold off with UR taps, oh trumpeter.
The Rays are 7 behind Boston in the loss column - and  two behind Texas. Be thankful they aren't in the western division...or the central.
