Um, yes, especially since they just beat the Rays 2 of 3 and then the Angels 2 of 3.

At this point you have to worry about the O's...Bucky boy will pull out all the stops to play the spoiler..DO NOT take them lightly..This is NOT a guaranteed win..

Not sure worried is the right word, but a team that's 4-13 in September should take everyone seriously.

First, there isn't a team on the planet The Sox shouldn't be worried about

Second, we better hope that the O's don't perpepuate the Kevin Gregg/David Ortiz battle and more importantly, that the Sox don't take the bait and get more injuries and more suspensions.  I wouldn't put anything past Showalter.

At this point the Sox must take every opponent seriously. Also it has now come down to playing each out, each inning, each pitch with the upmost importance.
In reality it should have never been allowed to reach this point, the Sox should be now resting and readying themselves for the PO'S.

"Should the Sox be worried about the Orioles" is like saying "Should  San Francisco be Worried About Another Earthquake".  That's been part of the problem with the Sox, they don't seem to take the less than elite teams seriously.

If Sox can't beat O's then they really deserve to go home. Games probably wont be pretty, but Sox should be able to tee off on pitching staff, then hold on for some high scoring finishes.

Not taking opponents seriously, could very well be some of the Red Sox problem lately. Plus the O's are 6-4 last ten and we are 3-7. We have Weiland and Lackey going today in the doubleheader. Showalter, especially, and all the O's would love nothing better than to squash the Red Sox out of the playoffs.

Kind of an ignorant topic, don't you think.

Matusz is sporting a 9.84 ERA, the most in the Majors with players with 20 innings. He makes Lackey look like Greg Maddux.

Sox need to spank him early and often...

On the bright we have a great oppotunity here.

With the Yanks playing the Rays , you know the Yanks aren't in a comfortable enough position to start resting guys.

Surely I would rather be the Sox playing the O's than the Rays playing the Yanks.

That being said, it would be advisable to not assume the Yanks will beat up the Rays, the Rays do not have the horses, but what they do have is youth and they are eager to be pains in everyone's @ss for as long as they can get away with it.

Much as I hate pulling for the Yankees, I am counting on them to slap the Rays back to where they belong....out of the playoff picture.

Ask the Rays or the Angels if the Sox should worry about the Orioles.  Had it not been for the Orioles the Sox would now be in a tie with the Rays for the WC.  Had it not been for the Orioles the Angels would have been in the thick of the WC hunt right now.  Nuff said.  Right now the Sox team does not exactly look like a juggernaut.

The Sox have zero starting pitchers worth their weight(considering Beckett is injured), they should be worried about playing anyone, including little league teams!! The fact that Tim Wakefield/Kyle Weiland are still on the roster and starting proves the farm system is just about empty!!! They might as well pull somebody out of the crowd and give them a start.
