    I'm disappoined with Middlebrooks, so far.

    But, he tagged a few doubles this weekend. Maybe he's coming out of his slow start.

    It appears to me that Middy's success is tied directly to his swing.

    When he takes a big free swing as if he's trying to bounce a ball off the NH toll booth it's like his bat has a hole in it.

    When he shortens it up and tries to make solid contact he .. makes solid contact. 

    I still think he's a little "full of himself" after the 3 HR day.  But that's just me.  :-)

    It looks like he might have done just that jete. hes been going opposite field and taking what their giving him the last couple games. Once he does that on a regular basis, he will start seeing the ball come inside more.
