Re: World Series Game 4 Thread: Red Sox at Cardinals

We have scored 6 runs in what 14 innings, the bats have gone morgue cold and I don't get that. I am wondering if this team over achieved this year and its rearing its ugly head in the last two playoff series.

I have to laugh when I hear people berate the Sox batters for not driving up the pitch count.  Not sure if you noticed, but their pitchers throw strikes 90% of the time!  And 96-98 to boot.

Ellsbury really stepping up on the biggest stage. 0 sb and 2 errors. Nice. 4 years, $15 million, not a penny more.
I don't think they have an attempted stolen base this series

it's hard to steal when you don't get a hit

Not sure what's happened with their bats. Tough time to run out of gas. Another cy young performance.

it does suck seeing ortiz joking around with  the opponent when his team is losing, but ortiz is the least of the red sox worries. he is one of the 3 players on the red sox that havent crapped their pants this series.

Here is an idea: Stop with the nonsensical comments and try to focus on the game.  Try to come up with some intelligent, relevant ideas. Is that too much to ask ?  Don't turn this World Series game thread into a juvenile travesty. Because , that is what is happening.
This must be coming from someone who somehow missed that trotting out 98+ rookie pitchers from starters down to the closer is messing the series up. Seriously, it's not unfounded and non sensical. It's the truth and any real baseball person knows this. Please Obi Wan, how do you beat that? You must know a lot about baseball. I'm waiting with bated breath to hear your glorious explanation.
The only explanation is that you are a fool. Totally ridiculous , unfounded steroid accusations. No reason for it except their velocity as rookies ? As if getting older would make you throw harder ? You are spouting nonsense and don't have any basis for it. If they beat us , they must be cheating ? Get real. And , your suggestion that people should flood the station with calls about the Card's pitchers being on steroids ? How dumb can you get ? It is impossible to argue with someone like you. You make absolutely no sense.

How long is Clays contract good for cause i think he is done

He definitely has a shoulder injury and I am wondering if he needs surgery. Give him credit for trying to go out there.

I give him credit but so depressing, dont get me wrong im grateful sox made it this far, just was hoping for it all

Its a let down no matter how you look at it, you listen to all the games and to have them play  like this.

He isn't hitting well either, just better than the others.  Since they aren't hitting that's not saying much.

Plus you are dealing with a manager in Farrell who has had a brain cramp the last couple of games.

AL, this is the most over-achieving team in the history of Boston. Just getting this far has been amazing. And the SOX, no matter what these other 'fans' think, are not done yet.
oh please they got here thats fine as far as winning, they need to hit the ball which they seem to be lacking the ability too? Havent you been watching the redsox these last few games? Hitting is hard to come by for the redsox
