I am going to miss this season when it's over. Even last night I said to hubbie when I got home that it seemed weird not to have baseball on.

That said..I hope the Sox wrap it up tonight.

Wacha's a really good 22 yo pitcher who handled his first assignment well. Wacha's a really good 22 yo pitcher who hasn't experienced a do-or-die 6th game in a WS.  I expect that his age and lack of this kind of pressure experience will give Lackey and Red Sox bats an advantage.  So I hope.

That is the same thing I am thinking.  Especially Victorino and Napoli are both back in the line up at the same time Farrell keeping Ross at the plate where he can prevent Cardinals to try to hit and run or attemp alot of steals.

I think they ll win the game just like game 1!!

Tiant throwing first pitch to Fisk tonight. Tiant is available to pitch an inning or two in relief if needed ;-)

big day guys...chance to close out in front of the Nation'...no doubt both teams will get after it,not saying they want it, but Sox at least have one game margin of error...should be good either way...enjoy guys...the best point of the season..

They need to continue the strategy that got them past Price, Moore, Scherzer and Verlander ( damn! they've had to face some monster pitching this offseason!).

St. Louis has a bullpen that can be had. To their credit , better than Detroit's or Tampa Bay's bullpens.

Wacha is good. They need to respect this young man. Get his pitch count up. Lackey will keep them in the game.

Take Wacha lightly and we will be back for Game 7. Pretend he is Verlander or Sabathia, make him work for it.
