In spite of the rather poor advice being given by the Boston "Destinations Experts "on Trip Advisor...please be advises that anyone who wants to go into the city via train and stay for the fireworks will have no trouble getting home. The MBTA is running subway and commuter rails extra hours..as they do every New Year's Eve. The last train out of the city on most lines is 2AM.
As always if you have any questions about the MBTA system..it is best to go right to the source - www.mbta.com -rather than relying on third party and clearly incorrect information.
That being said...is anyone planning on attending First Night? Since it's on a Saturday..I am going to some of the earlier events before returning home to entertain for the evening.
Also..if looking for restaurant recommendations..best to check out Chowhound.com. Many of the De's on TripAdvisor are also local business owners and therefore biased. Best to get recommendations from the people who actually eat at these places...not the owners. -
