TIME CHANGE AFFORDABLE HOUSING PUBLIC MEETING - NOW 6:30 PM 6/8/11

PLEASE NOTE NORWELL'S AFFORDABLE HOUSING PUBLIC MEETING, WED. 6/8/11 WILL BEGIN AT 6:30 PM instead of the previously scheduled 7:30 PM time.

To begin the meeting Karen Sunnarborg, housing consultant to the Affordable Housing Partnership, will present a summary of the recently conducted Needs Assessment study. This will be followed by a question and answer period where residents can express their comments, concerns, suggestions as well as ask questions.

Whether you know it or not state mandated affordable housing effects every resident of the town.  Time and money spent over the last few years dealing with commercial 40B developments is town money that could not be spent on the library, schools, fire, police, road maintenance.  As residents who abut proposed 40B developments have found out large developments have a great impact on traffic, ground water patterns just for a start.  It need not be this way.

Resident input is critical for town leaders to proceed with a town friendly, cost effective plan for affordable housing.

Come to the June 8th meeting  6:30 PM with your ideas, questions, comments concerns.
