Grand Opening of the Frog Pond Spray Pool, Boston, June 27

Wednesday is the official opening of the perennial summer favorite in Boston, the Frog Pond Spray Fountain! The season’s kick-off ceremony will be marked by art, storytelling, face painting, a visit by official mascot Frog Pond Freddy – and of course, lots of splashy fun for kids of all ages. Event will take place rain or shine. The Frog Pond Spray Pool is open daily from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily through Labor Day, and lifeguards are on duty during all open hours. Wednesday, June 27, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Free. Frog Pond, Boston Common, Boston. www.bostonfrogpond.com
