Celebrate the sacrifices and service of American military veterans on Saturday at the Wenham Museum. During this annual Military History Day, visitors will have a chance to immerse themselves in the lives of soldiers and their families at home. Hear patriotic songs sung by strolling singers, read letters penned home by Civil War and WWII soldiers, and explore artifacts and antique military vehicles with veterans and re-enactors. Hear a veteran’s stories of D-Day on Omaha Beach in a morning lecture, and visit the Anchors Aweigh: Model Ship Display. Visitors are encouraged to bring old cell phones to donate to Cell Phones for Soldiers. Saturday, July 14, 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. All ages. Free with Museum admission. Adults, $7.50; ages 1-18, $5.50. Free for members and active military and veterans with ID (plus 5 other family members). www.wenhammuseum.org
