We've all watched scenes of pie-eating contests in movies or on TV, but now is your chance to experience the fun for yourself! Visit Verrill Farm in Concord tomorrow for an old-fashioned blueberry pancake breakfast and old-time blueberry pie eating contest. The pancakes are made from fresh, local ingredients and served with Massachusetts maple syrup, with bacon and sausage on the side. The pie-eating contest, starting at 11 a.m., has categories for adults and children -- the first to finish an 8' single-crust pie wins (no hands allowed!). Rounding out this event are hayrides and music by the Yankee Stompers. If there was any more nostalgia, Norman Rockwell would be there capturing it on canvas. Saturday, July 21, 9 a.m. - noon. Register for contest upon arrival. Contest is free with farm admission. $7.50 for adults. $4.50 for kids under 10. 11 Wheeler Rd., Concord www.verrillfarm.com
