If you're in the mood for an old-fashioned agricultural fair, visit the 130th annual Bolton Fair this weekend! For three days, this event takes over 53 acres of land to produce a quintessential old-time New England fair. With an array of musical performances, friendly competitions and shows, and an expanded midway filled with rides and games, the fair has something for everyone. Exciting vehicle events include a demolition derby, a monster truck show and freestyle motorcycles. For the kids, there will be a petting zoo, the Amazing Rainforest Experience (featuring exotic animals), Kids' Country (featuring kid-friendly performances), livestock exhibits, and more. Naturally, there will also be traditional fair food, crafts, vendors, and a farmer's market for your perusal. And with fiddling competitions, tractor pulls, and horse and oxen pulls, you'll feel like you stepped back into time. Friday, Aug., 10 (9 a.m. - 9 p.m.); Saturday, Aug. 11 (9 a.m. - 9 p.m.), and Sunday, Aug. 12 (9 a.m. - 9 p.m.). Midway open until 10 p.m. on Fri. & Sat. Adults, $10; seniors, $6; ages 7 – 12, $5; military personnel, $5; 6 and under, free. Multi-day and pre-sale tickets (through website) are also available. Parking is free. 318 Seven Bridge Rd., Lancaster. www.boltonfair.org
