Celebrate Grandparent's Day in a special way this year by having fun at the Providence Children's Museum! Admission is free all day for grandmas and grandpas, offering the chance to enjoy a day of play with their favorite grandchildren. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., children can craft cards and collages in Discovery Studio, the Museum’s hands-on art and science exploration space. Spend the rest of the time exploring the many interactive activities, including the Imagination Playground, where kids invent their own ways to play and work together to create imaginative structures. Using big blue foam blocks, wheels, spools and tubes, kids construct castles, forts and vehicles that move – the possibilities are endless! Sun., Sept. 9, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. $8.50 per person; free for members and grandparents. Providence Children's Museum, 100 South Street, Providence, RI. www.childrenmuseum.org
