In this class especially for teens and adults, participants will learn all about this ancient art form. Offered by Artbeat the Creativity Store in Arlington, the workshop will begin with a discussion about designs and practice of some basic forms. You can sketch your own figures, copy a sample that you like, or mix and match! Then you'll draw your design in henna on a hand or foot -- or perhaps on one of the practice materials available before giving it a try on real skin. Don't worry if you're unsure about your drawing skill -- the process is presented step-by-step, and all abilities are welcome. Henna is all-natural, fun and safe -- and will fade over time (about 1-3 weeks). A unique way to embellish your body temporarily! Thurs., Aug. 9, 6-8 p.m. Ages 13 and up. $25. Artbeat the Creativity Store, 212A Mass Ave., Arlington. www.artbeatonline.com
