OnefortheMurphys_low-Res.jpgIf you're on the Cape tomorrow, head over to the beloved Chatham bookstore, Where the Sidewalk Ends, for a chance to meet Lynda Mullaly Hunt, author of "One for the Murphys," a recently-released novel for ages 10 and up. The novel tells the story of Carley, who uses her street smarts and humor to keep her emotional walls impenetrable -- at least, until she becomes a foster child of the Murphys. Living with this busy and loving family shows her what a happy home can be like -- until Carley's real mom shows up, and she must decide where and how to live. The author will be signing copies of her acclaimed novel, and be available to answer questions. Wed., Aug. 8, 2-4 p.m. Ages 10 and up. Where the Sidewalk Ends Bookstore, 432 Main St., Chatham. www.booksonthecape.com
