'Puppet Playtime,' Brookline, various dates through March
Photo courtesy of Puppet Showplace Theatre
In its new series of performances, the Puppet Showplace Theatre in Brookline is offering entertainment for the littlest audiences. "Puppet Playtime" is an interactive performance experience designed for very young children ages 0-3. In each hour-long session, two friendly performers guide kids (and their grownups) through free play, sing-a-longs, stories, and imagination games. Puppet characters appear throughout to introduce the theme of the day and to join in the fun. Each session ends with a traditional puppetry performance specifically targeted towards this age group. This is a great chance for little ones to experience shows at the theatre, since normally most shows are recommended for children 4 and older. You can choose to attend a single session, or purchase a flexible 5-session pass. Because of the small group size, advance registrations are suggested. Wednesdays: Feb. 6, 13 & 27; March 6, 13, 20 & 27. All are 10:30 a.m. $25 for each adult/child pair per session; 5-session pass is $100. Discounts available for members. Puppet Showplace Theatre, 32 Station St., Brookline. www.puppetshowplace.orgAbout Parent Buzz
