Tired of spending so much money on Halloween costumes year after year? Head over to the Salem Costume Swap on Saturday for a bargain. Held at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem, the swap features gently-used costumes all priced at a mere $5, and the proceeds benefit Salem youth programs. There will also be coloring activities for the kids and light refreshments. If you have gently-used adult, kid or pet costumes cluttering your closet, you can bring them to the Salem Senior Center during their normal hours through Friday. In exchange for your costume, you'll receive a ticket to claim a new-to-you costume at Saturday's event. Halloween accessories are also accepted. Sat., Oct. 12, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Free with swap ticket; $5 per costume without ticket. Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem, 13 Hawthorne Blvd., Salem. www.salem.org
