In anticipation of Legoland Discovery Center opening this May in Somerville, the center arranged a Facebook vote on which local building should be constructed out of Legos and featured in its "Miniland."
Folks voted from Nov. 11 to Dec. 13 and the center announced the winner on its Facebook page yesterday -- the Boston Public Library!

The library beat out Faneuil Hall, Fenway Park, the Old State House, the Prudential Tower, and other iconic Boston structures. There will be a large-scale replica of the library featured in Miniland, which is a well-known area of every Legoland Discovery Center containing a mini landscape of that center's city.
Legoland Discovery Center will be a 44,000-square-foot indoor attraction for kids located at Assembly Row featuring the Miniland, a 4D Cinema, Lego rides, a Build and Test Zone, and more. It will be geared toward children age 3 to 10.
