It's tough to put yourself out there to give grades for Individual Players and not expect some serious scrutiny.   Here are my grades:   Line 1a Iginla A+    30+ goals, tough play, great fit for the B more »

I edited my previous post...I did nonpowerplay goals so I added  5-on-5 plus  4-on-5.  Sorry for the confusion. I don't look at sheer goals scored as the measure.  If that is your criteria, then I can more »

Compare this then... Just changed my grade for Marchand to an A+.  See below... It's not his fault, he's not on the PP...just saying.   Top 10   Non Powerplay Goal scorers in the NHL (Shorties goals i more »

Marchand's grade is way too low as well at C+/B-.  The guy puts up 20+ and doesn't play a lick of PP time.   Plus, he gets all those shorties.    I don't see Bergeron's (or Smith's) production being a more »

My only fear is that Detroit becomes the Kings of 2 years ago.  That is, a team that gets in as an 8 seed and has a whole new look with Datsyuk, Zetteberg, Alfie, etc...  ----It's sort of like the Kin more »

Now that baseball adopted a 1-game playoff for the Wild Card, it has shifted a bigger advantage to finishing first overall since you most likely won't have to go up against the team's pitching ace in more »

4-on-4 for 10 minute in OT---  If both teams are still tied, award 1 pt each.  Get rid of the shootout.  2 points for a win and 0 for a loss.   If they still want to stick with the crappy skills compe more »

If that Top 4 D-man is not out there for the Bruins, then this is the guy to get.  He is the best defensive forward out of the lot, the most versatile, and gives more depth at the Top center slot...an more »

Thanks Shupe--- I personally like Soderberg as a 3rd line center.   I agree with you that the B's have several good Top 6 players.  ---The B's have 7 (Top 6) type players with Erickson as the current more »

Other reasons why you might want Kesler...    ----(6-foot-2, 202)  ---versatile (can play the wing).  ---(six-time 20-goal scorer, including 41 in 2010-11). ----He is a shutdown defender (won the Selk more »

Why not Lucic?   While I love virtually every aspect in Lucic's game, he is the worst forward on the B's when it comes to turnovers and coverage in his own D-zone. Plus, it would be helpful to be able more »

    marco0863,

You don't need a significant difference in a 1-goal game..just need a slight difference and a hot goalie.  They had the latter.
