About Me: I began watching the Celtics shortly after I moved to Boston in the early 50s. Grew up playing a little playground BB in Brooklyn, but my dream of playing down low didn't fit well with a 5'5" frame. The games that are national I tape. Living in a small Tennessee town everything here is Big Orange.
The sniping back and forth bores me, especially when I know there are guys who really understand the game. I miss Slippery Sam, whose comments came from years of close contac5 with NBA and the Cs.

I saw the game, watched as as a Q4 quarter lead of 9 points evaporate as the ball was stolen twice, thrown away once,Brand was left open for an unchallenged layup, and Bradley was forced to dive into more »

I've been a fan for almost 60 years, thru good times and bad. But this was a disgusting loss. Not only scoring just 15 pts in the last quarter but being outscored 2-1. The team, coaches, and management more »

The NBA injured list these last 2 seasons is looking more like the NFL. This goes way beyond teams tanking when you've got teams like the Lakers and Bulls wrecked due to injuries. In last night's game more »

The Cs are scrappy enough, most of the time. But too many points are giveaways to a tall center. Nobody could do better than Sulligan , a real menace under the boards but still 5-6 inches shorter than more »

You seem to forget that Danny has done well with draft picks without having gotten any from the top of the list. He's an excellent shopper and analyst of talent, and its a good crop.

Good or bad, right or wrong, Celtic commentators have spirit; and that's very good, even when the comments aren't.

The reporter isn't bad; he's clever. The message I get is that continuing to disrupt the group that Stevens has skillfully put together can affect how they work and feel as a unit; and in NBAball the more »

I haven't said much lately here, but here goes. There is no better candidate for Coach of the Year than Brad Stevens. He has created a team out of a hodgepodge. That's always job #1 for a coach- crea more »

I don'tknow what 47 cent is talking about. As a non-Christian I took communion from Father Carroll when he married my friends Pat and Ed at BU's chapel , I've read his books and his columns for decade more »

Since I've got space for another comment, I'd like to raise another subject. Sully is proving to be all or more than was expected. But he may be trying to be more center than he can. It looks like he more »

I agree entirely. There is no rush, since Crawford is performing adequately at the level of the tam.Rajon has a long career ahead of him. A lot the stars are coming to realize that their bodies are th more »

The way the team is playing right now poor Rondo may have to sneak in by the side door (that's a joke, of course) He's still one of the most exciting people you'll see on the floor. My wondering is ho more »

Glad to see some talk on a serious subject. Green's apparent inconsistency is a puzzle to me. Last year I blamed it on his surgery recovery and understandable uneasiness afterward. My primary impress more »
