About Me: A child of the 80s, beer lover, techno-dweeb. My idea of a great day is to wake up and say hi to my kids, they come first (they play all day with the neighborhood kids) , kayak with my bro-in-law, come home and smoke some meat while listening to anything between Sly & The Family Stone to the Gaslight Anthem while having a few good beers with the fam. Get a good sleep the next day, send the kids off to school and then lunch @ Jimmy's Pub in Mansfield (I can work from home).

It was fun while it lasted. Thanks Gary. I do agree that your blog is worthy of a pay site, and this could put me over the edge to loosen my purse strings. We'll see. Most of the free beer blogs a more »

This weekly tasting thing is a nice idea but it seems to be the main attraction on 99 now. It's not really doing it for me. I understand this is a beer blog on a free site so I am grateful for any c more »

Obi - long time no chat. I think BBW is very underrated. The draft beers on premise are very good - to - excellent. I really think Back Bay IPA is an untapped gem of a bottled IPA. Those BC beers more »

Back in the 80's in Brockton we used Budweiser labels. These days I would not be caught dead doing that - definitely use a label from a craft beer instead.

P8 man, not trying to be an elitist but I stopped realizing a long time ago. Anyway, you're probably right - I loved your comment BTW.

As far as Mystic goes, they make some very nice beer and would most definitely be in my sweet 16.

I've had both Heather Ale, Weekapaug Gruit, but the tomato paste version I was referring to is Weekapaug. That was w/o a doubt the worst beer I have ever had (and I LOVE CBC).
