    It's all about the TV coverage.  Bs-Rangers @ 5:30 then DET-CHI @8:00.  One game ends, the next starts.  The NHL is just trying to squeeze every last $$$ they can out of it.

    It will probably depend on whom the Bs play in the next round.  As has been established, Thornton may not be needed to police certain teams, and therefore they may go with a "scorer" instead.

    Couldn't they just play the game in an empty stadium???  Teams, officials, etc. are all in town.  Play the game with no fans in the stands. Yes this sucks for the fans and JJ losing some $$$, but atle more »

    Apparently Soderberg has told the SIHF that he's not going to play in the WCs.  Why would they block him if he's not going to play anyhow???

    I just heard on the Sports Hub that Soderberg told the SIHF that he's not going to play for them in the WCs.  He's playing his hand and telling them to go screw.
