getting a top three NHL scorer for a kid who won't go to the net and another with hands of stone would be a good trade in my book.

well, let's see Puckhead. Krecji thankfully shows up for the playoffs but disappears for great stretches in the regular season. Lucic was a healthy scratch towards the end of the season FOR GOOD REASO more »

I really like this guy.  He writes from the gut the way Will McDonough used to. His line about the four scorers earning their paychecks is dead on. In the playoffs if your scorers don't find the net i more »

It was an underwhelming draft at best, though it is possible to talk yourself into believing in the upside of Collins and Dobson. Personally, I was disappointed in not getting Carredine because I thou more »

not surprising that over on drafttracker Duron had the lowest grade of anyone in the first three rounds...a 50.3. There were 11 players drafted in the same 3rd round that had grades in the 80's. I'm g more »

The most obnoxious poster on this board, RidetheKing, ridiculed those who are frustrated with the Pats draft citing, of course, the unquestioned genius of BB and the success of the Pats. Why, he asked more »

I honestly think I am done. Been following the Pats draft for decades but it's just a bad acid trip now. The smug hoodie has been called a genius so often that we barely question his taking a player a more »

Tank and Woods gone. I officially hate the smug genius. I swear he trades down just to validate his "genius" that only he can win with mediocre talent. We're gonna end up with a bunch of Braces and Bu more »

Everyone is being so damn polite and optimistic. Not me. If the Pats don't use a combo of Mallett and picks to move up in 2nd to get a Carredine/Woods combo or a Hunt/Taylor combo and instead stay put more »

thanks PatEng, you always give a thoughtful response. I would put Star up there to with Milliner and Ansah as high inpact players worth the price. But I suspect the conservative approach will prevail more »

I haven't been paying as much attention to the draft this year as I have in the past. The Wilson pick last year really soured me. Anyways, I am sure this has been discussed already but what would it t more »

Up front I don't have one tenth the hockey knowledge that most of the posters here do but I have been a lifelong Bruins fan. And from day one of his career I have felt strongly that Lucic IS NOT a top more »

Seidenberg is the key to the defense. If he is playing like a Top Four Dman then the B's have a shot. If he is not then let's face it - the Bruins have but one Top Four guy in Chara. Boychuck, Ferrenc more »

Goodbye to the guy I honestly felt was the worse sportswriter I've ever read. The Globe sports page "jumped the shark" when the hired this ponderous pundit of the obvious. Really, for his last blog he more »

Here's a BB special that would put me in the grave... they trade Mallet for a 2nd round pick and with their first take QB Matt Barkley. I still haven't gotten over the Wilson pick last year. I know BB more »

I think I mentioned this before but I'd love to see the Pats look at a couple of my Longhorns as Welker types - Marquis Goodwin and DJ Monroe. Both are excellant kick returners (I thought having McCou more »
