Comment on: Breaking: Marathon Finish Line Evacuated After Suspicious Packages Discovered
Posted 04/15/2014 10:04:25 EDT
The 'suspect' looks crazy, drunk, or both. The upsetting thing to me is that 2 backpacks made it to the finish line--I'd think the security would have been ironclad.

Comment on: Jerry Remy should think of fans, delay return to TV booth - Editorials - The Boston Globe

Remy represents a high profile organization. Retaining him at this time indicates tacit indifference of his role in the violence his son has wreaked. Unacceptable.

How would you feel if Jared's victim were someone close to you? Chet Curtis was a decent man. Don't degrade his memory by lumping him in a category with self-serving Jerry Remy who is paying for his more »

The decision to have Remy return is a huge blemish on the Red Sox organization. I join the other fans who will avoid the team as a result.
Posted 03/30/2014 09:39:14 EDT
How does one cover this story without sounding sensationalistic? It is lurid. And Remy is STILL supporting his son for his murder trial. That is all I need to know about him. Sweep this under the more »

Great point. It shows quite a double standard, doesn't it? Plus the Heidi Watneys and Jenny Dells are apparently more dispensable than the wretched Jerry Remy.
