Forum Post: Get with the program, Stevens: a tank rant.
Posted 03/20/2014 10:30:59 EDT
Louisio, I think you're missing a couple of key points that go against your position. Winning is in Stevens' blood, it's in his DNA. Something similar to what Larry Bird said: I din't come to play, I more »
Forum Post: Rondo sux
Posted 03/15/2014 03:28:15 EDT
RallyC, Yes, I'm not that smart. But I'm smart enough to prefer opinion of "others," such as Cooz, Magic, Larry, over your opinion about Rondo. I'll stick with that opinion no matter how much bogus st more »

RallyC, Sure the numbers by themselves are true. But if you use numbers to prove your point it's completely different ball game. For instance, you mentioned 35-42/.455 winning % vs 5-21/.192%. But whe more »

37stories, If you don't like Sam's Celtics forum it's your choice. But by saying ""... I get tired of people coming over here talking about Sam...." you contradict your own statement "...Here anyone c more »

Actually, Sam's Celtics forum is open to anyone. They just have much better moderation, e.g. personall atacks and insults are not allowed.

BrokenGnome, Thanks for your post. Unfortunately rational, logic, fact based arguments are rare in many threads here on BDC. If you're looking for those I'd suggest to check out Sam's Celtics forum. A more »

You're incorrect: it was 39 points, not 33. Game 6's score was 131-92.

[QUOTE] And so you are implying that RR is making players on his team better? And what do you say about his impotence in the closing minutes of close games. Come on man.....You think Larry is gonna pu more »

RallyC, Your argument that RR is not a player "to build with and certainly not around...Unless of course, you have another 3-HOFers..." is kind of lame. I can say the same about Lebron: he hasn't won more »
Forum Post: Rondo still not getting traded.

Forum Post: crawford or bradley?
Posted 01/14/2014 10:29:08 EST
I think AB will be retained for about 7-8M for 3-4 years. Unless Danny finds a trade, he'll a part of, for a tier 1 center and/or SG.
Forum Post: Rondo and the 3-point shot
Posted 01/14/2014 09:55:57 EST
I think BrSt showed, so far, that he can adapt. So, when RR is back, he will adapt to what RR can and can not do.
Forum Post: 5 reasons the odds of Rondo getting traded are very small.

In response to jtkl's comment: [QUOTE] Ok, first off we know that Danny Ainge would trade his mother if he thought it would make the Celtics better. But that being said the odds of Rondo being trade more »
Forum Post: bynum miami

Rumor is that he doesn't want to play. Therefore I don't think Mia or Atl would want him, even at VM level.
Forum Post: 2-0 without Olynyk

What about when they were 4-0 with Olynyk?
Forum Post: Prediction: 2014 draft pick aquired from Nets will be between 17 - 20!
Posted 11/19/2013 02:08:53 EST
As spewey noted - a lot depends on ATL.
In order for the Celtics to get Nets' pick in 17-20 range Atl also has to be in that range.
Forum Post: Why I am Rooting for the Celtics to Win Every Game?
Posted 11/08/2013 03:03:27 EST
I usually disagree with you but this post - I couldn't agree more.
Well, except the "a top 3 pick" - my prediction is #4-8.
Forum Post: True Celtics fans unlike the 99.9% here DO NOT BELIEVE IN TANKING. My respect to them.

I'm really surprised - you're visiting Sam's Celtics Forum. Even quote its regulars.
Why didn't you post there?
Forum Post: Is it too soon for a Bass for Asik trade?
Posted 11/04/2013 12:28:07 EST
Actually, there's another reason this trade won't work. If Yahoo Sports is correct. Hou already has 15 players on its roster.
But you're correct Re: KO and Vitor.
Posted 11/04/2013 12:07:43 EST
If the ESPN trade machine is right it'd a very good trade for Celtics.
I don't know if Hou would benefit from the trade...
Posted 11/04/2013 11:54:32 EST
I don't think the salaries will work on this trade:
Asik - 8.734M Bass+Lee - 11.675M
The difference > 125%.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Forum Post: Prove me wrong....Please!

DaCeltics, Let me take a shot. JG. My take on him is he's holding himself back. Maybe he's waiting for RR to be back and the team to take shape. AB is a quick penetrator. But at the moment he needs so more »
Forum Post: Multi-trade to win now scenerio
Posted 10/23/2013 02:25:26 EDT
R9R, AFAIU, the path that Danny's taken is not to win now but to create a contender in 3-5 years. Your trade scenario is OK but it doesn't fit the above. Personally, I wouldn't trade JG+Sully for Hayw more »
