UMass-Lowell Introduces Blended LearningAt the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, students can have the "best of both worlds." By choosing a combination of on-campus and online courses, students can select classes that fit their individual learning styles. This fall, UMass-Lowell is launching an even more exciting model for its graduate programs in health management and policy known as "blended learning." Blended learning courses combine face-to-face instruction with online instruction so you cut your time in the classroom in half. This blended education model will enable health care professionals to continue their careers while pursing their education. UMass-Lowell will offer hundreds of courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels this fall through its Division of Continuing Studies, Corporate, and Distance Education and its Graduate School. "The Division of Continuing Studies, Corporate, and Distance Education exemplifies the kind of innovative teaching and real-world education that makes UMass-Lowell the focal point for economic development in our region," says Chancellor Marty Meehan. Part-time degrees and certificates are available in a wide variety of fields, including information technology, education, engineering technology, liberal arts, health care, criminal justice, project management, and the university's new online MBA. For more information, stop by UMass Lowell's Open House on Aug. 15 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. |
