BOSTON, MA - April 25, 2005 -- BostonWorks was named the Best Employment Website for newspapers with a circulation greater than 250,000 by the Newspaper Association of America's New Media Federation. Other finalists in the category include Startribune.com Jobs and Washingtonpost.com jobs.
The judges felt that BostonWorks fulfils its mission as a career mentor with a focus on local jobs and deep information about Boston-area industries and employers. The judges felt that employers received prominent placement for their display ad messages and the ability to post online-only jobs was a plus. They also pointed to the awareness and value BostonWorks offers job seekers through major promotional events throughout the year.
