State Police make 18 arrests during seventh weekend of patrol surge on Route 24, I-195
State Police made 18 arrests during the seventh weekend of the Route 24 and Interstate 195 patrol surge.
Troopers made 13 OUI arrests and five other arrests, State Police said in an official tweet.
State Police also issued seven criminal summonses and wrote 272 citations.
Police added the extra patrols near Fall River and New Bedford in July after a series of deadly crashes.
Troopers have made 68 OUI arrests and 61 other arrests during the past seven weeks.
