One person wounded, several cars are damaged during Jamaica Plain shooting incident, Boston police say
Boston police patrolling the Bromley-Heath housing development Thursday night rushed into the Jamaica Plain neighborhood after hearing multiple gunshots and soon discovered numerous cars with bullet holes and one man bleeding from a gunshot wound in his leg.
The officers were in the development around 8:15 p.m. when police heard the gunfire and saw two men run from Parker Street towards Heath Street. Responding officers then located one of the men on nearby Terrace Street, and learned he was not injured, police said.
One person was found wounded after multiple gunshots resounded through the Jackson Square area of Mission Hill Thursday night, Boston police said.
As police surveyed the area, they spotted several vehicles with bullet holes. And while checking the cars, they found a man inside one of the vehicles, bleeding from a gunshot wound to his leg.
He was taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital for treatment.
Police would not say whether the wounded man was a suspect or a victim.
No one was arrested, police said.
