A raging fire at a farm in Lancaster on Saturday burned a barn to the ground and caused an estimated $1.2 million in damage, a fire official said.
Firefighters responded to Manny’s Dairy Farm on Brockelman Road shortly after 1 p.m., said Lancaster Deputy Fire Chief Michael Hanson. He said the blaze grew to be five alarms, and officials from about 23 towns helped douse the flames.
The fire was knocked down at approximately 5 p.m., Hanson said, and the last crews left the scene around 8:30 p.m.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
