Pedestrian suffers minor injuries when struck by duck boat in Boston
A pedestrian suffered minor injuries when he was struck by a Boston Duck Tours duck boat at Bowdoin and Cambridge streets this afternoon, officials said.
Police responded to the scene around 1:50 p.m., and Boston EMS arrived shortly after to take the pedestrian to Massachusetts General Hospital. Police did not release any more details.
Cindy Brown, general manager of the company, said the duck boat was turning left at 2 or 3 miles per hour onto Cambridge Street during a green light when it struck the pedestrian, who was believed to be jaywalking.
She said the pedestrian’s injuries were minor. “We are very relieved about that,” she said.Sarah N. Mattero can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
