Police probe slaying of man in his 20s in Brighton
A man in his 20s was shot to death in Brighton Monday afternoon in an apparent drug-related homicide, authorities said.
Police responded at about 5:30 p.m. to a call for a person shot near 114 Leicester St. and found the man suffering from life-threatening injuries.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Two law enforcement sources briefed on the investigation said the fatal shooting was drug-related.
Boston police are asking anyone with information on the murder to call the homicide unit at 617-343-4470.

The murder was the 50th homicide in Boston this year, compared with 57 at this time last year.
