Maple syrup truck rolls over, snarling traffic on I-495 in Foxborough
A tractor-trailer carrying maple syrup rolled over this afternoon on Interstate 495 South in Foxborough, spilling fuel across the roadway and prompting the closure of two lanes, State Police said.
The rollover occurred near Exit 13, the ramp to Interstate 95 North, which has also been closed, State Police said. Traffic has been significantly affected by the incident.
The truck’s fuel line ruptured in the crash.
“If there is syrup spilled, that’s not the main concern,” said State Police spokesman Trooper Todd Nolan.
No injuries were reported, he said. The cause of the crash wasn’t immediately clear.Sarah N. Mattero can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
