Stoughton man cleared in fatal shooting of brother, 17
The fatal shooting of a 17-year-old Stoughton boy in September by his older brother has been determined to have been an accident, Norfolk prosecutors announced today.
David Wade was shot in the chest in the basement of his home by his 21-year-old brother Michael on the afternoon of Sept. 29.
The family attempted to deliver first aid to Wade before emergency responders arrived, but he was pronounced dead at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after unsuccessful emergency surgery, Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey has said.
David Wade attended Stoughton High School, where he played football, was on the track teams, and was a cheerleader.Sarah N. Mattero can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
