Five people given medical help after mattress catches fire in East Boston home
Five East Boston residents received medical help tonight after a mattress in a first floor bedroom caught fire, officials said. The fire at 61 Eutaw St. was contained within minutes, but was intense enough to lead five residents to be evaluated by the Boston Emergency Medical Services, the Boston Fire Department posted on its official Twitter account. Two of the five residents were sent to area hospitals for further evaluation. The department's Fire Investigation Unit is searching for the cause of the fire inside the four-story building.
