Michael O’Neill reappointed to Boston School Committee
Michael O’Neill has been reappointed to the Boston School Committee, Mayor Thomas M. Menino announced on Monday.
O’Neill, 52, a Charlestown resident, will be sworn in on Friday for a four-year term.
“Michael O’Neill has been a valued member of the Boston School Committee, providing insight and expertise in the areas of financial strategies and youth development,” Menino said in a statement. “He has served with professionalism and integrity and I am honored to re-appoint him.”
O’Neill, who holds a master’s degree in entrepreneurial studies from Babson College, has served on the committee since July 2008 and was elected vice chairman last year.
He is the senior vice president of marketing and distribution at SBLI of Massachusetts and also is the board chair of the Boston Private Industry Council’s Youth Council.
