Five people are facing charges of possession with intent to distribute drugs, following a traffic stop in Allston in which methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana were discovered, authorities said.

State Police stopped a car for speeding and failing to stop at a stop sign on Rugg Road at 3:45 a.m. Saturday. The driver, Brian Poitras, 27, of Lynn, said he did not have his driver’s license, State Police said. Three other people were in the car.

A check with the Registry of Motor Vehicles revealed Poitras’s license was revoked for various traffic offenses, and police placed him into custody.

Police began questioning the three passengers, Kristen Hosman, 29, of Salem; Victor Cordino, 29, of Allston; and Cameron Linehan, 22, of Somerville, and allegedly uncovered more than 11 grams of cocaine, almost seven grams of methamphetamine, and under an ounce of marijuana, along with a scale and numerous glass vials, State Police said. They were then placed under arrest.

All four were charged with posession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and conspiracy to violate the drug laws, State Police said in a statement. Poitras also was charged with multiple traffic violations.

Poitras asked police to inform his roommates at 32 Rugg Road he was being taken into custody, and since the apartment had no phone, officers would have to notify them in person. Officers “followed a trail of empty beer cans” to the apartment, State Police said. When a person answered the door, “police were met with a strong odor of trash and stale alcohol” in “what appeared to be a musical rehearsal space that was not fit as a residence.”

Paige Hamm, 18, of Bridgewater was arrested for possession of a Class B substance, and Agalov Vsevolod, 23, of Ashland was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

All six will be arraigned in Brighton District Court later today.
