Danvers police looking for thief stealing from nursing home offices
Police are on the lookout for a man who stole a safe and electronics equipment from the office of a Danvers nursing home over the weekend.
The man entered two Danvers nursing homes over the weekend, though one had no equipment reported stolen, said Sergeant Robert Bettencourt, a Danvers police spokesman.
Police suspect the man is targeting the offices of the homes.
“We do not believe he’s entered any rooms,” Bettencourt said.
Bettencourt said the man also stole from a nursing home in Waltham, and police believe he has stolen in other locations, prompting Danvers police to release the man’s photo from surveillance cameras. The photos show a man in a black coat with short hair and a receding hairline.
Police are not releasing the nursing homes’ locations because investigations are ongoing, Bettencourt said.
