Two people were injured in a multiple-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer just after noon today on a busy highway in Boston, officials said.
The three-vehicle crash on Interstate 93 North occurred south of Exit 13 near Freeport Street. Following the crash, officials shut down all but one lane; all lanes were reopened just after 1:30 p.m., State Police said.
The man and woman injured “were both in some pain, but not necessarily with serious injuries,” said Boston Emergency Medical Services spokeswoman Jennifer Mehigan. The victims were taken to Boston Medical Center.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, State Police said.
