A team of federal agents is at a Woburn manufacturing company searching the premises in an apparent investigation, officials said.
A spokesman for the US attorney’s office would only say that federal officials are on scene at a Woburn company and that there is no threat to public safety.
But The Boston Globe has learned through a federal official who could not speak publicly that the company is Agiltron, located on Presidential Way. The company manufactures photonic components and systems, and employs more than 100 people.
The company describes itself on its website as a provider of industry-leading “optical communication and sensing solutions.”
