One person killed in Haverhill fire; eighth person killed by fire in 2013, officials say
One person has died in a single-alarm fire in Haverhill, marking the eight fire fatality of the year.
At 11:30 a.m. firefighters responded to 41 Brickett Hill Circle, a residential building with four units, the Haverhill Fire Department said. No further information was available at the time.
The death came just a day after a Gloucester woman died in a two-alarm blaze in her home at 4 Windsor Lane. The cause of the Gloucester fire and the identification of the victim are still under investigation,m according to Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett’s office.
